Japanese Actress Brings Up Silver Coin and K'ang Hsi While Diving With MRR
On Tuesday, Japanese actress Mari Yaguchi brought up artifacts from a 1715 shipwreck site while working on board the Sea Reaper as the host of a show being filmed for the Japanese television network TBN. Yaguchi joined MRR divers with a metal detector and first surfaced with a half reale silver coin, followed by a piece of K’ang Hsi porcelain. Yaguchi proved to be a great diver with an eye for finding artifacts, and it was an honor to have her on board the vessel and in the water with the MRR team.
